Heart of Lions boosted their chances of surviving the drop after picking a 1-1 draw at the Nana Fosu Gyeabour Park on Saturday afternoon in match week 28 of the Ghana Premier League.
The point could prove a massive one for coach Bashir Hayford’s boys who are now just two points away from safety.
Heart of Lions are still second from bottom with 29 points from 28 games, remaining in the 17th position they started the day on.
Meanwhile, Bechem United have not done their chances of finishing in top four any good after failing to win at home and are now on 40 points, just one behind Nsoatreman who are in fourth place.
Heart of Lions stunned the home side by taking an early lead after nine minutes through Emmanuel Ofori Sakyi.
However, the home side got the equaliser in the second minute of first half added time through Francis Acquah.
There were no further goals as the game ended in 1-1 draw.
