The National Service Authority (NSA) has announced that registration for the 2025/2026 service year will officially reopen today, Wednesday, 8th October 2025, following months of system suspension, audits, and major digital reforms.

The announcement was made by the Director-General of the Authority, Ruth Dela Seddoh, at a press briefing in Accra. She said the reopening marks the beginning of a new era of efficiency and transparency in the management of national service processes.

According to Madam Seddoh, the new digital platform replaces the old Central Service Management Platform (CSMP), which was suspended on June 17, 2025, after a technical and forensic audit revealed several data and security lapses.

“In line with the President’s directive, we have completed the audit, redesigned the system, and are now ready to reopen registration on Wednesday, 8th October,” she said. “The new platform is secure, transparent, and ensures real-time verification of all data provided.”

Registration will remain open for one week, closing on Wednesday, 15th October 2025, and the national service year officially begins on Monday, 3rd November 2025, with personnel expected to report to their service stations from Saturday, 1st November 2025.

The new portal introduces multiple security and operational upgrades, including integration with the Ghana Card database for identity verification, automated cross-checking of academic records, and a QR-coded certification system for instant validation.

It also incorporates an intelligent posting algorithm that matches personnel to institutions based on their qualifications, preferences, and institutional needs — a move aimed at making the process fairer and more efficient.

The Authority has further partnered with the Controller and Accountant-General’s Department to strengthen payroll integrity and ensure timely payment of allowances.

“These reforms make payroll fraud and data manipulation virtually impossible,” Madam Seddoh said. “We are moving national service into a new digital future that prioritizes accountability and efficiency.”

In addition to the new portal, the NSA is expanding service pathways for graduates through initiatives such as Youth in Agriculture, Community Improvement Programmes (CIP), private sector partnerships, and skills capacity training.

These initiatives are designed to equip service personnel with job-ready skills and practical experience that enhance their employability beyond their service year.

All prospective service personnel are advised to visit the new official website “www.gnsa.gov.gh ” for step-by-step registration guidelines.

“The new portal will go live on Wednesday, 8th October 2025,” Madam Seddoh reiterated. “We encourage all graduates to register promptly and follow the official instructions to avoid delays.”
