Fans took to social media to express their disappointment after Ghana’s 1-1 draw with Niger in the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers on Monday afternoon.
Tough tackling defender Alidu Seidu, who plays for Stade Rennais, gave Ghana the lead in the 44th minute with a powerful strike, assisted by Mohammed Kudus. Despite controlling much of the game, Ghana struggled to break down Niger’s defense until Alidu Seidu’s goal.
However, Niger fought back and equalized in the 81st minute when Oumar Sako, assisted by Moussa Kassa Moudou, found the back of the net. The draw follows Ghana’s 1-0 defeat to Angola in their opening Group F match at the Baba Yara Stadium last Thursday.
The Black Stars will now look to regain momentum in their upcoming double-header against Sudan as they aim to secure qualification for the tournament. Fans are hopeful for a stronger showing after the team’s disappointing results so far.
