The 2025 KGL Foundation Inter-Regional U-17 Colts Championship begins on Friday, September 19, and will run until Saturday, September 27, at the Ghanaman Soccer Centre of Excellence in Prampram.This years edition features an expanded field of 12 teams, comprising U-17 selections from all 10 Regional Football Associations, joined by the GFA Elite Academies from Northern and Greater Accra.Defending champions Western Region, placed in Group A, will open their campaign against Upper West Region. Other group fixtures include Volta Region facing Elite Academy (Bolga) and Greater Accra taking on Northern Region, who claimed bronze last year.In Group B, Greater Accra Elite B will lock horns with Upper East Region, Central Region meet Brong Ahafo Region, while Ashanti Region battle Eastern Region, last years beaten finalists.The semi-finals are scheduled for Thursday, September 25, with the grand final set for Saturday, September 27, at the Prampram venue.Over the past four years, the KGL U-17 Colts Championship has become a key platform for unearthing talent, with many graduates advancing into Ghanas junior national teams, excelling in the domestic league, and securing opportunities abroad.
