ACCRA, GHANA — The pulse of the city is about to quicken as iMullar SoundSystem (IMSS) announces its first flagship event of 2026.
On February 19, 2026, the cult-favorite music platform will transform No. 19, Akosombo Street, Airport, into a sanctuary for electronic music lovers, trendsetters, and the “head-boppers” of the capital.
Known for its “5% Afrobeats” policy, iMullar SoundSystem continues to challenge the status quo by centering alternative African sounds. This edition, dubbed Energy 019, focuses on the raw, percussive power of the continent’s electronic underground.
Leading the charge is South African Gqom titan Que DJ. As one half of the legendary Distruction Boyz, Que DJ is credited with taking the Durban township sound to the global stage. Now, as a solo powerhouse, he brings his signature “Umkhunkulu” style—a darker, heavier strain of Gqom characterized by hypnotic rhythms and earth-shaking bass.
Joining the South African heavyweight is an elite roster of local and international selectors, each curated to maintain the high-energy, community-driven atmosphere IMSS is famous for: TMSKDJ, B.Frvnkie, DMI Muud Swingz, MoonC4ke, and more.
