Member of Parliament for Effutu Constituency, Hon. Afenyo-Markin, has called on political leaders and government officials to prioritize real development initiatives over mere political rhetoric.
Speaking at a recent forum in the Western Region, Hon. Afenyo-Markin emphasized that citizens are tired of slogans and promises that fail to translate into tangible improvements in their communities.
He highlighted the need for policies and projects that address critical areas such as infrastructure, education, healthcare, and job creation.
“People are looking for results, not rhetoric,” he stated. “Political campaigns must be grounded in delivering measurable impact that improves the daily lives of Ghanaians.”
He further urged government agencies, civil society, and private sector actors to work collaboratively in implementing projects that have lasting benefits, noting that sustainable development requires accountability, transparency, and deliberate planning.
Hon. Afenyo-Markin’s remarks come amid growing public demand for better service delivery and an end to symbolic gestures that fail to tackle pressing socio-economic challenges.
He called on leaders at all levels to demonstrate commitment through action rather than words.
The MP reiterated his dedication to championing policies that bring real change to constituents, asserting that true political leadership is measured by the positive outcomes it produces for the people.
