Sales are already picking up at the Efua Sutherland Children’s Park even before AgriFair 2025 officially opens, as early shoppers rush in to buy fresh produce directly from farmers.
The three-day agricultural fair, organised by Channel One TV and Citi FM, runs from today, 28 November, to 30 November. The event opens daily from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., and entry is free. Despite the official opening time, farmers began selling early as buyers arrived ahead of schedule to avoid the expected crowds.

Now in its second edition, AgriFair has grown into one of Ghana’s biggest platforms for displaying and selling fresh farm products. Farmers, agribusinesses, processors, input suppliers, financial institutions and consumers are coming together in a lively marketplace designed to support both trading and learning.

A key feature is the Agric Clinics. These practical sessions will offer training in snail farming, fish farming, poultry production and piggery throughout the weekend. According to organisers, the clinics are open to anyone interested in gaining agricultural skills, whether they are new entrants, practising farmers or consumers trying to better understand how food is produced.

Frema Adunyame, Head of Events and Partnerships at Channel One TV, says the training sessions were expanded after lessons from the maiden edition, which concentrated mainly on produce sales. She explains that the clinics are meant to build the capacity of participants and encourage them to explore a wider range of agribusiness opportunities beyond traditional crop farming.
The fair’s popular farm-to-basket model is still central to the event. It allows consumers to buy vegetables, fruits, fish, poultry and livestock directly from farmers, helping producers earn more while offering shoppers fresher and more affordable products.
AgriFair 2025 is also set to serve as a major networking space. Agritech companies, agro-processors, distributors, input suppliers, financial institutions and investors are expected to engage in collaborations, explore financing opportunities and learn about new technologies that can transform their operations.
The event comes at a time when strengthening food security and boosting local production remain national priorities. Organisers believe the Agric Clinics will help small- and medium-scale farmers gain practical knowledge to improve productivity, while the fair’s direct-selling structure gives producers more control over their earnings.
With Christmas approaching, exhibitors are preparing to meet rising demand and secure supply deals that may extend into early next year.
Visitors can look forward to a wide variety of fresh produce, live demonstrations, agribusiness displays and access to experts in different agricultural fields. Organisers encourage families, individuals, farmers and agripreneurs to take advantage of the free entry and learning opportunities throughout the fair.
AgriFair 2025 is powered by Channel One TV and Citi FM and is sponsored by the Horticulture Business Platform, Development Bank Ghana, Legacy Crop Improvement Centre, GIRSAL, Ghana EXIM Bank and Agri-Impact, with support from Twellium Industrial Company Limited.
