Former Ghana international Emmanuel Agyemang-Badu has called for patience and unity as the Black Stars intensify preparations for the 2026 FIFA World Cup

Ghana secured one of Africa’s nine automatic slots for the expanded 48-team tournament and have since moved to strengthen the technical bench. The Ghana Football Association recently added experienced hands, including French coach Alain Ravera and Black Queens trainer Kim Lars Bjorkegren as assistant coaches. Spanish analyst Jose Daniel Martinez Alfonso has also joined to enhance scouting, while physiotherapist Carlos Lozano Romero and performance coach Dwayne Peasah Paa Kwesi complete the backroom team.

Despite the changes, Agyemang-Badu urged Ghanaians to avoid criticism with only months to the tournament. He stressed that the FA understands the team’s needs and deserves public backing as preparations continue.

The World Cup will be co-hosted by the United States, Canada and Mexico. Ghana have been drawn in Group L alongside England, Croatia and Panama, setting up a challenging campaign for the West African side.
