Ahmadiyya community in UK organises National Peace Symposium

The 18th National Peace Symposium of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community has taken place at the Baitul Futuh Mosque in London.

The international event was attended by Senior Members of Parliament, Faith Leaders, Business and Diplomatic Communities and Representatives from more than 28 countries.

This year’s symposium, which was on Building a Sustainable Policy, highlighted the key solutions to achieving lasting peace in the light of ongoing global conflicts.

One of the key features of the National Peace Symposium is the Ahmadiyya Muslim Peace Prize.

Two prizes were awarded this year. The first award went to the founder of ‘Chernobyl Children International, Adi Roche and the second to the founder of ‘Stand By Me’ David Spurdle, for their exceptional support to orphans and underprivileged children around the world.

The worldwide Head of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community, Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad, who delivered the keynote address emphasized the need for nations to champion justice and fairness in order to avoid global conflict.
