Musician and politician, Kwame Asare Obeng popularly known as A Plus has responded to the invitation by the police over his claim, that he has information about Ahmed Suale’s death.

A Plus in a Facebook post shortly after news of the police invitation said he will be present at the Ghana Police headquarters at 2 pm on Monday, July to speak “nothing but the truth.”

His post read: “I’ll be at CID headquarters at 2 pm to give information on Ahmed Suale. The truth! Nothing but the truth.”

The police invitation for A Plus to assist in the ongoing investigation into the death of Ahmed Suale, follows his recent claims on social media that he has some information regarding the case.

The police invited A Plus in a statement issued on Monday, July 15. The statement noted that an investigation into the death of Ahmed Suale has been ongoing since the unfortunate incident happened.

“The Cold Case Unit established in October 2021, under the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) of the Ghana Police Service to handle cases of this nature has been working on the investigation into the case and closely engaging with the deceased’s family,” the police said.

“The Police is therefore pleased that Mr Kwame Asare Obeng (A-Plus) has made an indication that he has some information that could assist the ongoing investigation, and he has been invited accordingly,” the statement added.

Ahmed Suale, 31, an investigative journalist, worked with Tiger Eye PI, the investigative firm established by Anas Aremeyaw Anas, known for its use of undercover journalistic methods to expose corruption and other ills in society.
