Ajax emerged as champions of the maiden Joseph Paintsil U-15 Cup, triumphing over seven other clubs from Fadama, including Miami FC, Desideros Golden Boys, Third World, De Gunners, Field Master, and Evergreen.
The tournament, organized by Black Stars winger Joseph Paintsil, aimed to inspire young talents and give back to the community where Paintsil began his football journey.
The U-15 championship sought to motivate young players to chase their dreams of becoming professionals, despite challenges.
Speaking to 3Sports, Paintsil, a former Ajax Fadama player, emphasized the event’s significance: “It’s all about giving back to the younger kids, showing them there’s always hope and a path to professional football. This is where I started.”
After seven competitive rounds, Ajax secured the title with a commanding 4-0 victory over Evergreen FC in the final.
Ajax received trophies, medals, and GHS 15,000, while runners-up Evergreen were awarded medals and GHS 10,000.
