A former Deputy Communications Minister, Felix Ofosu Kwakye says Akufo-Addo’s effort at ensuring that he gets Dumelevo out of the way is because of his fight against the Senior Minister and the supposed work done by Kroll Associates.

The President of Ghana through a statement from the Communications Directorate at the Presidency directed the Auditor-General to proceed on his accumulated leave.

This move was challenged by the Auditor-General who thought the decision was high handed and needed to be relooked at by the President of Ghana.

But in a response, the Presidency rather extended his leave days from 123 days to 167 and although CSOs called on government to have a relook at the decision, the Presidency pointed point that there is nothing that could be done about the decision.

This week, reports in sections of the media suggested that Daniel Dumelevo went to his office to get some documents but to his amazement, his office was locked with the locks to the office changed to prevent him from entering.

Responding to this move by the board of the Auditor-General’s office, the board chairman Dr. Edward Dua Agyeman in an interview said “What’s this with Mr. Domelevo always running to the media. Is he a baby? We are fed up with Domelevo always going to the media. He can go wherever he wants to. When Mr. Domelevo left on the 1st of July, the board felt there was the need to secure his office so the locks were changed and the keys were left where they belong”.

But reacting to the President’s actions, the former Deputy Communications Minister, Felix ofosu Kwakye said the Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo is trying so hard to get rid of Daniel Dumelevo because of the stinking deal will Kroll and Associates.

He said “There can be no defense for the mistreatment of Domelovo. Akufo-Addo removed him to cover up the Kroll Discovery theft, period. He has been direct and brazen about it”.
