Long-serving Hearts of Oak board member Alhaji Brimah Akanbi has currently assumed the roles of the managing director of the club due to his absence.
The Phobians announced during the course of the week that Managing Director Frederick Moore has been on sick leave and is currently unavailable to play his roles as leader of the executive wing of the club.
The news triggered speculations about the appointment of a replacement for the soft-spoken managing director.
Renowned names like Kenpes Ofosuware who is a former major of Tema as well as former Managing Director of the club Odotei Sowah and Leslie Kuuku Bartels have all been linked to the role.
While nothing concrete has been finalized on the role and the names Alhaji Akanbi, who is regarded as a trusted lieutenant of board chairman Togbe Afede XIV has been handed the opportunity to act in Frederick Moore’s stead.
The entire Hearts of Oak contingent that went to Dormaa Ahenkro for their match day one fixture were quarantined for six days and were released after their COVID-19 test produced negative results.
