Saviour Kojo Ekpe, an alleged notorious land guard terrorising residents of Abokobi in Accra, has been arrested by the Ghana Police Service.

Ekpe, 45, was nabbed with four pump action guns, 101 AA/BB live ammunition, a jack knife, one Glock AUSTRIA pistol and 17.9mm live ammunition when a search was conducted in his room by a team of Police officers.

A Police brief said Ekpe allegedly rented out the weapons to other criminals for various activities and admitted ownership of all the weapons during interrogation.

Ekpe, however, could not give any tangible reason for possessing all those weapons except to say that he used one for hunting, another for protecting his home, and another for his personal safety.

“This goes to confirm the fact that the suspect has been keeping the weapons and renting them out to people for their criminal activities,” the Police brief said.

His accomplice, one Emmanuel Abbey, has also been arrested for threatening the life of a complainant, the brief said.

Both suspects have been detained and the exhibits retained for evidence purposes.

On March 5, 2026, the police gathered intelligence on Ekpe, who was identified as a land guard within Abokobi and its environs terrorizing residents.

Intelligence revealed further that he had weapons, which he rented out to criminals.

A team was deployed and eventually arrested Saviour Kojo Ekpe and his accomplice Emmanuel Abbey.
