Ghanaian-British actress Ama K. Abebrese has expressed excitement over her role in the upcoming action-comedy Boyz Trip, a globally driven production currently filming in Cape Town.
Taking to Instagram, the award-winning actress shared her enthusiasm about joining the project, writing: “I’m so excited to be part of the wonderful cast of @boyztripmovie, directed by @kscottdirects. This is epic and such an amazing cast and crew. Let’s goooo.”
Abebrese is part of a strong African contingent in the film, reflecting the production’s commitment to showcasing talent from across the continent. The cast includes South African stars Ama Qamata and Thapelo Mokoena, both known for their roles in Blood & Water, as well as Bohang Moeko (Isono) and Siv Ngesi (The Woman King). Together, they bring a rich blend of experience and cultural authenticity to the high-energy production.

The film is anchored by a lineup of global stars, led by Emmy Award-winning actor Rome Flynn (How to Get Away with Murder), alongside Algee Smith (Euphoria) and comedian Desi Banks (Little). Also joining the ensemble are international actresses Alessandra Fuller and Francisca Aronsson, further broadening the film’s global reach.
Directed by Kyle Scott, Boyz Trip follows four college friends whose annual getaway spirals into international chaos, forcing them to depend on long-standing bonds, instinct, and luck to survive. The project is produced by Autumn Bailey-Ford, with Scott also serving as executive producer under KeyScott Entertainment alongside Canyon View Media.
Filming in Cape Town, the production continues to generate buzz for its vibrant setting and diverse casting.
