Private Legal Practitioner, Amanda Clinton is rooting for the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the December 7 polls explaining that a vote for John and Jane ticket is a vote for representation by the minority in society.

According to her, although she is not meddling in politics, she believes that voting for Jane Naana’s ticket on December 7 pushes the women empowerment agenda further and support the minorities in society.

This she argues is because the minority in society will be given a place on the high table and have issues bothering them better represented and pushed for reforms.

“I don’t believe people are just going to vote based on Gender. I do believe that because Prof. Naana Jane Opoku Agyemang has a lot of substance and the ability to listen to people particularly women, this could be one of the deciding factors in this year’s election.”

She indicated that for her she’s looking at policies and programmes which will be of benefit to her and other women in the society and believes that having a woman in a higher office will help improve the quality of life.

Although noting that women have their rights to make a choice, it’s imperative that they realize the need to get representation in a higher office to help push the women agenda in order for policie about women will be translated into reality.
