Dr. Steem Koma Jehu Appiah, Ghana’s Ambassador to Russia, was recently recognised for his outstanding achievements with the “Alumni Star” Award at the 66th anniversary celebrations of the Russian University of People’s Friendship (RUDN University) in Moscow.

The ceremony, held on February 6th, celebrated the university’s rich history and honored distinguished alumni who have made significant contributions in their respective fields.

Dr. Jehu Appiah, a respected figure in diplomacy and international relations, graduated from RUDN University with a degree in Medicine. He was selected for the “Alumni Star” Award in recognition of his dedicated service to Ghana, his impactful work in strengthening Ghana-Russia relations as ambassador and his commitment to fostering international cooperation. His background in medicine also brings a unique perspective to his diplomatic role.

The Russian University of People’s Friendship (RUDN University), formerly known as the Patrice Lumumba Peoples’ Friendship University, has a long and esteemed tradition of educating students from across the globe. Founded in 1960, the university is renowned for its multicultural environment and commitment to fostering international cooperation.
