Andre Ayew nominated for Championship Player of the month award

Black Stars skipper, Andre Ayew, has been nominated for the PFA Bristol Street Motors Championship Player of the Month Award for June and July.

The 30-year-old Swansea deputy captain scored three times and provided two assists in the said duration that propelled the Jack Army to the semifinals of the Skybet Championship.

Andre is nominated alongside Wigan’s Nathan Byrne, Leeds midfielder Pablo Hernandez, Brentford defender Ethan Pinnock, and his Bees team-mate Said Benrahma, as well as West Brom playmaker Matheus Pereira.

The former Olympique Marseille attacking midfielder scored a total of eighteen goals and made seven more assists for the Welsh club in the just concluded Championship season. His side were unable to make it to the finals in Wembley as they lost 3-2 on aggregate to Brentford.

After his explosive season in the Championship, the former Aston Villa man is set to hold future talks with manager, Steve Cooper.

He has also been linked with a surprise move to Paris Saint-German as a replacement for Choupo-Moting valued at five million Euros.
