Former Executive Council member of the Ghana Football Association (GFA), Samuel Anim Addo, has admitted that his relationship with GFA President Kurt Okraku is no longer what it used to be.Anim Addo, who failed to secure re-election to the Executive Council in the October 2023 polls held in Tamale, gave hints about a possible fallout with Okraku in a recent interview with Sporty FM.”In life, sometimes somebody will want to do something on their own. Somebody will want to show you that they dont need you at a point when they will need you at some point,” he remarked, when asked whether Okrakus lack of support contributed to his exit from the council.

#SportyFMIsHere (@SportyFM_) April 24, 2025The former business manager of Ghana legend Asamoah Gyan seems to have also distanced himself from Young Apostles FC, a club he played a pivotal role in guiding to Premier League promotion. The rift reportedly stems from his criticism of referee Maxwell Hanson, which prompted the club to issue a public statement distancing itself from his remarks. Though he has not officially left the club, his involvement appears to have waned.Anim Addos current focus is largely on boxing, signalling a shift away from the mainstream football administration space where he was once a key figure.
