Ghana Black Stars forward Antoine Semenyo remains optimistic about AFC Bournemouths bid to secure European football next season despite a setback against Manchester United.

The Cherries currently sit 10th in the English Premier League standings after a 1-1 draw with Manchester United, a result that complicates their hopes of qualifying for either the UEFA Europa League or UEFA Conference League.

Semenyo opened the scoring in the 23rd minute at the Vitality Stadium, but a late equalizer from Rasmus Hojlund in the 96th minute denied Bournemouth the full three points.

Speaking to Sky Sports after the match, Semenyo remained positive about Bournemouths chances.

The teams above us can lose next week and we can go above them. We just have to go on to next week. We have a tough game [against Arsenal], but the boys will be confident enough going to the Emirates, he said.

He added, Its not getting easier, but I have full belief in the team that we can do something.

Semenyo has enjoyed a strong season with Bournemouth, recording 11 goals and six assists across 38 matches in all competitions.

His performances have reportedly attracted the attention of Saudi Pro League side Al-Nassr, with speculation linking the former Bristol City attacker to a lucrative move in the upcoming transfer window.
