Bournemouth and Black Stars forward Antoine Semenyo has marked a beautiful milestone in his personal life after proposing to his longtime girlfriend, Jordeen Buckley, on Tuesday November 18.
The couple, who have been together for five years, shared their joy with fans in a joint Instagram post showcasing elegant photos from the intimate proposal.
Their caption captured the emotional moment perfectly:
“Forever has a nice ring to it 💍❤️ Song of Solomon 3:4 – I have found the one whom my soul loves.”
Buckley, a London-based entrepreneur, looked radiant in the engagement shots as Semenyo went down on one knee in a beautifully arranged setting.
The 25-year-old forward orchestrated the romantic surprise shortly after leaving the Black Stars camp, where he had been ruled out of Ghana’s friendly against South Korea due to an ankle injury.
Semenyo sustained an injury in his left ankle during international duties, following a match where he captained Ghana in their 2–0 defeat to Japan.

Semenyo was permitted to step away from camp, a window he used to create the perfect moment to ask his partner to marry him.
Fans and teammates have since flooded social media with congratulatory messages, celebrating the couple’s next chapter together.
