The 2025 edition of The Matriarch Verse Experience concluded over the weekend with a vibrant live concert at the Holy Spirit Cathedral, wrapping up a week-long lineup of creative and artistic activities.
Poet and performer Apiorkor headlined the climax event and used the occasion to launch her new memoir, “The Gospel According to Adulting.” The book, which blends personal storytelling with reflections on contemporary womanhood, was received with enthusiasm by attendees.

The night also featured captivating performances from Nene Narh, BKB, Quayba, and several other talented artists who added colour, rhythm, and depth to the celebration of poetry, music, and artistic expression.
Over the years, the Matriarch Verse Experience has grown into one of Ghana’s leading poetry events, consistently offering a platform for both established and emerging creatives. This year’s edition reaffirmed its status as a major force in Ghana’s literary and performance arts landscape.
