Ghanaian dancehall artiste Livingstone Etse Satekla, popularly known as Stonebwoy, has disclosed that he has been blocked by former Black Stars captain, Asamoah Gyan, despite still holding him in high regard.

In a video session posted on June 25, Stonebwoy was speaking about people he considers as “big brothers” in the industry and those he continues to respect, even in the face of strained or silent relationships.

“Asamoah Gyan has been a big brother from time. I’ve hardly heard from him lately. I think the last time I checked, I was blocked,” Stonebwoy revealed.

He went on to add that this isn’t the first time something like this has happened between them. According to him, during a previous situation where he was blocked by the former footballer, there appeared to be no concrete reason.

“I don’t know but that wouldn’t be the first time. The last time, we checked and he was like I didn’t do nothing. We checked and realised it was nothing,” he explained.

Despite the lack of clarity surrounding the issue, Stonebwoy emphasised that he understands people may be going through personal challenges, and therefore chooses not to take it personally.

“Everybody is going through different things so you can’t take it too hard. Once you know your heart is pure and everything is clean, and especially when there is no room for conversation, you can’t really do too much,” he shared.

Although the exact reason for the block remains unknown, Stonebwoy made it clear that there is no animosity on his part. He still respects and regards Asamoah Gyan as a big brother, maintaining a calm and mature outlook on the situation.

Fans have reacted with mixed feelings online—some expressing surprise, while others commend the musician for handling the matter with grace and emotional intelligence.
