Ghana Premier League side, Kumasi Asante Kotoko, have requested a change in home venue from the Accra Sports Stadium to the Aliu Mahama Stadium in Tamale.
The Porcupine Warriors started their 2020/21 season at the Accra Sports Stadium with a 1-1 draw against Techiman Eleven Wonders in week one of the Ghana Premier League.
Communications Director of the Porcupine Warriors, Moses Antwi Benefo, confirmed to Asempa FM that the club has written to the Ghana Football Association for approval.
If the request is granted, the club will honour their home games at the Aliu Mahama Stadium for the remainder of the 2020/21 season or until renovation works at their original home ground, Baba Yara Sports Stadium, is completed.
Kotoko are targeting to play Nouadhibou in the CAF Champions League reverse fixture and their rescheduled Ghana Premier League game against Accra Great Olympics on December 2, at the Aliu Mahama Stadium.
