Ghana’s Solomon Asante has achieved another significant milestone in the USL Championship setting a new record with his combine goals and assists tally.
The Phoenix Rising FC skipper’s two goals and two assist over the last two games has taking his combine tally to 34 and to beat the current record of 33 in in the USL Championship.
Asante who has so far scored 20 goals this season has also broken the club’s record for most goals scored in a season and five goals away for equaling the record of most goals scored in the USL Championship in a season.
Besides, Asante has also named as honorable mention to receive team of the week honours and this would be the 10th time the player would be receiving the honour.
The Ghanaian’s total assist of 14 is the highest in USL this season and just two short of the league’s all-time record.
With eight games remaining, the Ghanaian could break the goal king record of 25 goals and possible break the assists record of 16 in the USL.
