In a recent revelation, Ghanaian politician and President of the Atta Mills Institute, Samuel Koku Anyidoho has brought to light alleged remarks made by Asiedu Nketia, the National Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC).

According to Anyidoho, Nketia asserted in an undisclosed location that Former President John Dramani Mahama would never reclaim the presidency.

The motives behind Nketia’s purported statements remain unclear. However, Anyidoho has thrown down the gauntlet, challenging Nketia to deny his assertion.

In an interview with Nana Yaa Brefo and Isaac Ekow JB on Onua FM, Anyidoho relayed verbatim what he asserts came directly from Asiedu Nketia himself. Among Nketia’s alleged remarks were scathing assessments of Mahama’s political prospects.

“John Dramani Mahama thinks he will be President again, who will make him President? Ghanaians are done with him, he has conceded defeat, his reputation at Brong Ahafo Region is ruined.

“Hanna Bissiw, Agyekum, and Lordina and their followers no longer have that feat and influence. You, Lordina, you have the audacity to compete with me on Brong Ahafo politics.

“Lordina should go back to Nima market and sell her Rice and Oil but to be first lady, never again,” Anyidoho stated what he claims to be the exact words of Mr Asiedu Nketia

These statements attributed to Asiedu Nketia paint a grim picture of Mahama’s political prospects, suggesting a significant rift within the NDC ranks.

As Anyidoho challenges Nketia to refute the claims, the political landscape in Ghana may witness heightened tensions and uncertainty regarding the future leadership of the NDC and the country as a whole.

In other developments, Anyidoho has called for an in-depth autopsy report and inquest into the passing of the late John Evans Atta-Mills after the demise of Member of Parliament for Ejisu John Ampontuah Kumah under suspicion of poisoning.

According to Anyidoho, the late Atta Mills was vomiting blood profusely during his final moments, parallels that he says are synonymous with that of the late John Kumah.

“Where is the autopsy, I don’t know, Samuel Atta-Mills (Brother of the late president Atta-Mills) claims an autopsy was done and that he, Samuel has the report, why hasn’t he given the autopsy to his widow on the day late Atta-Mills was buried.

“Was President Atta Mills also a victim of poisoning?” he queries.

Detailing his proximity to the incident, the former aide recalls being in the presidential castle before the unfortunate event unfolded, although not present in the same room where President Atta Mills passed, he asserts having firsthand knowledge of the severity of the situation, referencing records of profuse vomiting accompanied by blood.

The Communicator stated that his request comes at a time when he finds himself in court in hopes of clearing his name of allegations that he has a hand in the demise of the late president.

“As we speak I’ve been accused of having a hand in the supposed murder of former President John Evans Atta Mills, and I’m in the Tema High Court with Kwabena Bobie Ansah.

“Why won’t I ask for an autopsy report and an inquest to clear my name, so with the news of John Kumahs death, God does things in his own good time that 12 years after the death of Professor Atta Mills something so grievous has happened to Ghanaians and there is an issue of poison.”
