The Tamale stadium Annex Park will from today till Thursday August 31 serve as the venue for the Baby Jet Under-16 tournament.
After a hugely successful event in Goaso last week, the train has made a stop at Tamale where some of the most promising and talented footballers from that part of the country will look to impress a scouting team made of ex-footballers and renowned coaches.
Organizers have confirmed that all is set for the commencement of the programme with a screening exercise scheduled for this afternoon at the same venue.
According to CEO of Baby Jet Promotions, Samuel Anim Addo, the tournament offers a huge career opportunity to many of such mushrooming talents hidden in the hinterlands and the cities.
“We had many compelling storylines from the maiden edition as selected players had the opportunity to undergo successful Trials with clubs in Europe. It’s a window of opportunity for Under-16 Ghanaian players to showcase their unique talents to the world.
“Our team of technical experts is on hand to select the best available talents for Ghana,” Anim Addo added.
The next stop for the competition that seeks to unearth gifted footballers under the age of 16 is Kumasi.
