Vielung Kwadwo Bagbin, son of the Speaker of Parliament, Alban Sumana Kingsford Bagbin, has emerged the best-performing student at North Hills International School during its annual awards ceremony held on Friday, July 4, 2025.
A Year 9 graduate, Vielung was presented with the Overall Best Student award in recognition of his outstanding academic performance.
In a widely circulated video from the event sighted by GhanaWeekend, the young scholar is seen confidently walking across the stage to receive his award, as teachers, dignitaries, and proud parents applauded warmly.
His mother, Alice Adjua Yornas Bagbin who had earlier presented awards in various categories, including some to her son, joined him on stage, presented him with a bouquet, and embraced him, drawing admiration from the entire audience.
