In a notable endorsement, Kofi Akpaloo, the presidential candidate of the Liberal Party of Ghana (LPG), has thrown his support behind Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, describing him as a better option than former President John Dramani Mahama. Speaking in an interview on Oyerepa TV, Akpaloo lauded Bawumia’s intellect and policy achievements, positioning him as the leader Ghana needs for a brighter future.
Akpaloo didn’t hold back in his criticism of Mahama, highlighting the former president’s opposition to key policies like the Free Senior High School (SHS) initiative. “John Mahama’s track record shows he lacks real solutions for Ghanaians,” Akpaloo remarked. He argued that Mahama’s dismissal of the Free SHS program, which he once deemed unrealistic, demonstrates a lack of vision to address the country’s challenges effectively.
Turning his focus to Bawumia, Akpaloo praised the Vice President’s contributions to Ghana’s digital transformation. “Bawumia is leagues ahead of Mahama in both intellect and policy,” he asserted, emphasizing the transformative impact of the digitalization agenda spearheaded under Bawumia’s leadership. “Look at the digitalization agenda under Bawumia’s leadership—it has transformed how Ghanaians interact with government services,” he said.
As Ghana prepares for the general elections, Akpaloo urged citizens to consider Bawumia’s achievements and potential to lead the nation. “Bawumia’s leadership has brought innovation and efficiency to governance, positioning him as the ideal candidate to take Ghana to greater heights,” he added.
With the elections drawing closer, Akpaloo’s endorsement adds a significant perspective to the ongoing discussions about Ghana’s future leadership.
