Bayer Leverkusen star Jeremie Frimpong has unveiled his new “Pathway” project, an initiative designed to empower Ghanaian youth in pursuing their dreams, both in football and beyond.

During his holiday visit to Ghana, Frimpong shared his vision for the project while participating in a community football event in Dansoman.

“It’s all about the youth because they are the future. We want to help them with not only football but with anything they want to be. Pathway is like a company where you have people provide services. Young people like to play football, so we have that in mind,” he explained to 3 Sports.

The 24-year-old wing-back, who helped Bayer Leverkusen secure their historic unbeaten Bundesliga title last season, expressed optimism about the abundance of talent in Ghana and hopes his Pathway initiative will help nurture these promising young individuals.

Born in the Netherlands to Ghanaian parents and raised in England from age seven, Frimpong has carved out an impressive career path of his own.

After developing at Manchester City’s academy, he has gone on to become a key player for the Dutch national team, earning 10 caps since choosing to represent his birth country.
