Bayern Leverkusen defender, Timothy Fosu-Mensah, has revealed he is a fan of Ghana Premier League giants, Kumasi Asante Kotoko.
The 23-year-old says supporting the Porcupine Warriors is a family tradition.
He admits he doesn’t follow Ghana football much, and hopes to do more in the future.
“I support Asante Kotoko even though I haven’t followed Ghana football that much, ” he told Happy FM.
“Asante Kotoko is a tradition for the family. Hopefully, I will now follow some games in the Ghana Premier League.”
The Dutch International is in Ghana, the country of his parents, for holidays after his season ended early with Leverkusen in February.
He suffered an anterior cruciate ligament injury in their Bundesliga game against Freiburg.
Fosu-Mensah was eligible to represent Ghana at the national level but chose the Netherlands in 2017.
He has exceeded the age limit to be able to switch nationality and play for the Black Stars.
