Bellview International School’s graduation ceremony transformed into a heartfelt appeal as CEO Nana Yaa Barnie Asanso Nkosoꓛ Hemaa of Bekwai Municipality addressed parents.
Amidst celebrations, she spotlighted a growing crisis: children deprived of parental time and guidance due to demanding jobs, financial strains, or family conflicts.
“Your child needs you present—truly present,” the CEO stressed. She urged caregivers to prioritize monitoring, conversation, and genuine connection, regardless of their occupations. Her message resonated as students later shared quiet pleas with Joy Learning News, asking parents to resolve marital disputes constructively to avoid the distractions of broken homes. What does quality time mean? It’s listening, guiding, and simply being there when it matters.
Support came from Old Tafo’s Municipal Ambulance Commander, Mr. Acheampong Isaac, a Senior Advanced Emergency Medical Technician. “This isn’t optional,” he stated firmly. “Future leaders need your attention now. Tight schedules can’t excuse neglect.” His words underscored the long-term stakes: children’s well-being and Ghana’s future.
The day balanced gravity with joy, featuring music, dance, and a fashion show. Monica E.N Ampah emerged as the school’s top achiever, scoring 90.10 across all levels. Her awards—certificates and undisclosed gifts—offered a bright counterpoint to the earlier, urgent calls for change in how families nurture their young.
