RC Celta de Vigo have completed the permanent signing of Ghanaian forward Bernard Somuah Sarpong from Asante Kotoko SC, handing the 19-year-old a long-term contract until June 2030.

Somuah initially joined the La Liga outfit on a loan-to-buy deal in August 2024, but the club have now activated his purchase option following a series of impressive displays.

After adapting with the Juvenil A side, the winger earned promotion to Celta Fortuna, where he made his Primera Federación debut against Zamora CF on the opening day of the season. He has since established himself as a key figure in Fredi Álvarez’s squad, accumulating over 800 minutes in Spain’s third tier.

The Ghanaian has scored five goals, showcasing blistering pace and sharp technical ability in one-on-one situations. His standout moment came in a dramatic comeback victory over CF Talavera de la Reina, where he struck a stoppage-time winner.

His contributions have lifted Celta Fortuna to second place with 48 points, keeping their promotion ambitions firmly on track.
