Neil Armstrong-Mortagbe, the Head of Public Relations and Strategy for the Ghana Football Association (GFA), says Black Satellites’ primary objective is to qualify for the 2025 U-20 World Cup.Ghana, who are in Group C of the U-20 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON), will get their tournament underway against DR Congo todaybefore taking on Senegal and Central African Republic.The last four of the tournament will automatically make it to the global showpiece, which will be hosted in Qatar.Speaking ahead of the game, MrNeil Armstrong-Mortagbe says the team is eager to stay on track by beating their opponent tonight at the New Suez Stadium”Ghana has not been starting tournaments well, but this time around, the coach [Desmond Ofei] has assured that the team will start well by winning against DR Congo to put ourselves on track to qualify for the next stage,” he told Asempa FM.He also highlighted the teams main objective: securing a spot in the U-20 World Cup, which will be held in Qatar later this year.”The major objective is to qualify for the 2025 World Cup, which will be hosted in Qatar later this year,” he said. “Beyond that, we are not here just to qualify, but once we get the qualification, we go to the next level,”Armstrong-Mortagbe added.
