Twenty-one players of the Black Stars trained on Monday at the Vienna Football Campus as preparations began for their upcoming international friendly against Austria.

The one-hour session focused primarily on recovery for players who featured for their clubs over the weekend, while the rest of the squad engaged in tactical exercises and shooting drills under the technical team.

Goalkeepers Lawrence Ati-Zigi, Benjamin Asare and Joseph Anang were present, alongside defenders including Patrick Pfeiffer, Derrick Luckassen, Jerome Opoku and Gideon Mensah.

Midfielders and forwards such as Elisha Owusu, Ibrahim Sulemana, Jordan Ayew, Abdul Fatawu Issahaku, Antoine Semenyo and Kamal Deen Sulemana also took part in the session.

Deputy captain Thomas Partey has now linked up with the squad in Vienna, increasing the number of players in camp to 22.

Meanwhile, Alexander Djiku is expected to arrive on Tuesday to complete the squad as preparations intensify ahead of the friendly encounter.
