Bright Kosi Asiamah has been officially appointed as the Country Director for Ghana under the 100 Most Notable Peace Icons Africa initiative.
The announcement was made during the recently held 100 Most Notable Africans Business & Leadership Summit in Kigali, Rwanda.
This appointment places Mr. Asiamah among a group of newly selected Country Directors from across Africa, including countries like Nigeria, South Africa, Kenya, and Morocco.
Their role is to promote peace, recognise local changemakers, and support community development efforts in their respective countries.
Speaking after the ceremony, Mr. Asiamah expressed gratitude for the opportunity and pledged to use his position to promote peace, unity, and strong leadership in Ghana.
“This appointment is not just a personal milestone, it’s a national call to action,” he said.
As Country Director, he will be responsible for identifying and celebrating individuals in Ghana who are making a positive impact through peacebuilding, education, human rights advocacy, and social development.
He will also lead national programmes, partner with local institutions, and ensure Ghana’s contributions to peace are recognised continent-wide.
The summit in Kigali brought together leaders, diplomats, and change agents from across Africa to discuss peace, governance, and innovation. The next edition of the event is scheduled to take place in Morocco in 2026, and Mr. Asiamah is encouraging Ghanaians working in peace and development to get involved.
A national call for nominations will be launched soon to highlight outstanding peace advocates from across the country.
