Bulgaria-based striker Bernard Tekpetey says he is ready to honour Black Stars invitation after several absence from the team.
Despite being on top form, the Ludogorets attacker has consistently been overlooked by the technical handlers of the national team.
Speaking on TV3, the former Schalke 04 forward reiterated his desire to return to the national team when handed call up.
“I’m always ready. When I get invitation, I will honour it” he said.
Asked about why he has been earning call up, he said, “This depend on the coaching staff. Sometimes they have their own philosophy and the type of players they invite due to the system they want to play. I have no problem if a coach invite me or not”
The 25-year-old has capped five times for the national team since making his debut back in 2017.
Tekpetey had an outstanding campaign with Ludogorets, contributing significantly to their league title and domestic cup victories.
He scored 10 goals and provided five assists in 30 league appearances in the just concluded campaign. Out of the 30 games he played, he started 27 and came off the bench on three occasions.
