Bullet, CEO of RuffTown Records, says the early days of late Ebony’s career were full of financial struggles, personal sacrifices, and risks that few knew about.
“When she was alive, we didn’t make streams. We were not even earning much from the shows we were playing,” he revealed in an interview on UTV’s Atuu.
The music executive also pushed back against rumors that he clashed with Ebony’s father over her properties. “They were even saying I was fighting with Ebony’s dad over her properties. Which artiste in Ghana here have acquired properties in two years?” Bullet asked, pointing out how easily the public misinterprets an artist’s success.

Before Ebony became a household name, Bullet said he invested heavily in her career, even taking loans to fund promotions. “I’ve invested a lot of money in her before she was able to get her fame. I took a loan from people just to promote her, but I doubt people know this. I’m still paying some of those loans now,” he added, highlighting the unseen challenges and ongoing sacrifices behind the spotlight.
