Shatta Wale’s former manager, Bullgod, has spoken out, saying he almost quit after only six months of working with the reggae musician because he didn’t understand him.
The former manager of Shatta Wale, known as Bullgod, recently revealed that he had difficulty understanding Shatta Wale’s behaviour and conduct in an interview with Ato Kwamina D’Gem on the Entertainment Review Show broadcast on Connect FM.
Bullgod had a nuanced response when asked if Shatta Wale was the most difficult musician he has worked with, saying, “I will say yes and no.”
“When I started working with in within six months I wanted to stop the job, because it was difficult, I mean I didn’t understand him at the time.”
He went into more detail about how hard the job was, pointing out how important it was to go to the studio to record, promote work, and shoot videos. These were common tasks that didn’t pose any major problems. But it was the extra things that were hard for him.
Bullgod continued by saying that he had a hard time handling the media backlash that often followed Shatta Wale’s wild utterances. He spoke of times when he had to do damage control after receiving calls from various media outlets as a result of Shatta Wale’s contradictory claims.
He didn’t have much time to do real work because he was always fixing problems. This made him work harder and harder. Bullgod remembered that, in the beginning, he had trouble understanding how Shatta Wale operated.
