It was an incredible sight to behold at the Sandton Convention Centre in Johannesburg, South Africa, when Ghana’s darling in Afrobeats, Camidoh, mounted the stage to entertain patrons of Legends and Legacy Ball.
Camidoh, beaming with ebullience, served the audience with a string of his smash hit songs including the record-breaking ‘Sugarcane.’
Enthralled by his stagecraft, the attendees could not hide their joy as they cheered him on and danced to his beautiful music.
Other performers at the event were Yvonne Chaka Chaka, who was honoured at the event. The rest were Mafikizolo, Zinhle, King Promise, DJ Lord OTB, and Andy Dosty, among others.
Organised by Imagin and Fusion Global, this year’s Legends and Legacy Ball aimed to celebrate artistry and democracy in South Africa.
This comes a few weeks after he made an appearance at the 2024 Black Entertainment Television (BET) Awards held in Los Angeles, in the United States of America.
Apart from that the ‘Sugarcane’ crooner has been on media runs in Ghana, Nigeria, the USA and other parts of the world, promoting his new song ‘Nothing Lasts Forever’.
He has also visited the offices of Audiomack and music rights organisation, BMI as part of his steps are to solidify his relationships as he prepares for his new body of work due for release later this year.
In the meantime, his new song ‘Nothing Lasts Forever’, has won the hearts of music lovers, gradually becoming the official heartbreak anthem.
Camidoh, in the song produced by himself, Nawtyboi Tattoo, Baba Wood, talks about love having its up and down moments. It advises people to apply logic in love to avoid the pain Camidoh endured.
