…Why this recognition fuels my mission to empower young women
Rita Adu BOATENG
Being named among Ghana’s 100 Most Influential Personalities is an honour that carries profound meaning for me as the Founder and CEO of Chalom Hights. This recognition is not only a personal milestone; it affirms a mission born from lived experience, deliberate purpose, and the desire to see young women in Ghana rise with confidence, influence, and leadership. Above all, I thank God for the vision, direction, and clarity that have guided every step of this journey.
A vision rooted in personal experience
My journey to the C-suite was shaped by resilience, discipline, and the determination to break ceilings that were never designed with women in mind. Along the way, I encountered challenges that many professional women will recognise — limited access to decision-makers, inadequate mentorship structures, and the pressure to constantly prove one’s worth in environments that often undervalue female leadership.
Chalom Hights emerged from this reality. It was founded to bridge the support gap young women often face while navigating their academic, career, and leadership journeys. I wanted to build the kind of network I wish I had earlier in my career — a community grounded in shared experiences, practical wisdom, and the power of collective influence.

Why Chalom Hights exists
From inception, the purpose has been clear:
- To empower young women to thrive professionally and personally.
- To cultivate confidence and leadership capacity.
- To create safe spaces where young women can learn, share, and challenge themselves.
- To build an ecosystem of women who uplift and champion each other.
Our work is anchored in the belief that empowerment is not an event — it is a culture. It is built through mentorship, coaching, conversations, storytelling, and the strategic development of influence. Through initiatives such as our ElevateHer Series, masterclasses, panel dialogues, and one-on-one mentoring, we are strengthening the pipeline of Ghana’s future female leaders.
Fuelled by impact and motivation
Every programme we deliver is designed to give young women the access, knowledge, and courage they need to step boldly into opportunity. The feedback from participants — stories of renewed confidence, career progression, clarity of purpose, and leadership advancement — reinforces why this work matters. For me, these outcomes are the true measure of influence. They represent the ripple effect we set out to create: one empowered woman becoming a catalyst for many others.
A recognition that validates the power of starting
This award stands as a testament to the importance of taking action on one’s vision — even when the path is uncertain. When the organisers reached out, they did so based on what they had observed: the consistency, the execution, and the visible impact Chalom Hights is making. It is a powerful reminder that influence is built over time, quietly and steadily, through service and unwavering commitment. I often encourage young women to start where they are, with what they have. This recognition is living proof that consistency and purpose will always create opportunities for visibility, credibility, and impact.
Honoured to stand among visionaries
To be celebrated alongside exceptional CEOs and leaders across various industries is humbling. Each honouree is contributing meaningfully to national development, innovation, and community advancement. To be counted among them strengthens my resolve to keep building, keep empowering, and keep amplifying the voices of young women across Ghana.
Broader lessons for Ghana’s leadership landscape
Women continue to face barriers rooted in limited networks, unequal access to opportunities, and societal expectations. Yet research consistently shows that organisations and economies thrive when women lead. The work of Chalom Hights directly addresses this by building social capital — the networks, mentorship, and relational influence that position women for leadership roles. This is not simply empowerment; it is a strategic investment in Ghana’s human capital. By equipping young women to lead, we shape more inclusive, competitive, and resilient institutions.
As I reflect on this recognition, I am filled with gratitude — to God for His direction, to the young women who trust our vision, to the mentors and partners who believe in the transformative power of female leadership, and to the organisers of this prestigious honour for acknowledging the work and impact of Chalom Hights.
A special word of appreciation goes to my husband, whose unwavering support, encouragement, and belief in this mission have strengthened me at every stage. His partnership has been instrumental in my ability to lead with purpose and clarity. This award fuels my commitment to continue expanding the impact of Chalom Hights and to keep championing a future where women rise boldly, intentionally, and without apology.
