Emmanuel Clottey scored an injury-time goal in the 95th minute for Berekum Chelsea to deny Kumasi Asante Kotoko a win at the Golden City Park in Berekum.
The Bibires held the Porcupine Warriors to a 1-1 draw on Sunday afternoon in match week two of the 2020/21 Ghana Premier League season.
Kwame Poku, who scored in Kotoko’s 1-1 draw against Eleven Wonders in match week one, opened the scoring in the afternoon with a close-range finish inside the six-yard box.
Both sides creative relative chances, but none made use of the chances created.
Kwame Poku’s goal was the difference at the break between the two sides.
The home side brought on Jordan Opoku for Hamza Gonji in the 56th minute while Emmanuel Clottey came on for Kofi Owusu in the 64th minute.
Kotoko also brought on Emmanuel Sarkodie for Emmanuel Keyekeh in the 70th minute, while Sulley Muniru was handed his Ghana Premier League debut in the 78th minute when he was subbed in for Ibrahim Osman.
Birthday boy Felix Annan, who has been impressive on the day, got injured and was replaced by Kwame Baah in the 90th minute.
And the moment of drama came in the game. Berekum Chelsea were awarded a free-kick at the edge of the penalty area, second-half substitute, Clottey riffled it into the back of the Kotoko net in 90+5 minutes.
It ended one-all at the Golden City Park with the spoils shared between Berekum Chelsea and Asante Kotoko.
Both sides have now recorded two consecutive one-all draws in match week one and two.
