Winger Abdul Fatawu Issahaku has confirmed he will join Leicester City on a permanent basis this summer.
The Ghana international initially joined the Foxes on loan from Sporting CP, with an obligation to buy.
Last season, Issahaku played a key role in Leicester’s return to the Premier League, contributing 6 goals and 13 assists.
Speaking at the Ghana Football Awards, the 20-year-old confirmed the permanent move.
Footballghana.com in April earlier this year revealed that Leicester could activate a €17 million clause if he played 60% of the games.
Despite a transfer embargo due to profit and sustainability rule violations in the 2022/23 season, Leicester is committed to retaining the promising winger.
Steadfast FC will receive 50% of the transfer value once Leicester pays the €17 million fee.
Since Sporting CP acquired Issahaku in 2022 for €1.2 million, the gain of €15.8 million will be split, with Steadfast and Sporting CP each receiving €7.9 million.
