The Creative Arts Agency, led by Mr. Gideon Aryeequaye, has announced a partnership with the Ministry for the Interior to establish Creative Arts Centres in Ghana’s Borstal Homes.
The initiative aims to use the power of the arts to support the reformation and rehabilitation of inmates, particularly juveniles.
This agreement was reached during a courtesy call on Interior Minister Muntaka Mohammed on Monday, July 21, 2025.
Mr. Aryeequaye emphasised that nurturing the creative talents of inmates can serve as an effective tool for rehabilitation and reintegration into society.

He highlighted the importance of providing artistic skills that not only engage the inmates but also empower them to build meaningful futures after their release.
Interior Minister Muntaka Mohammed welcomed the initiative and expressed strong support for the partnership, describing it as both timely and necessary.
He assured the Creative Arts Agency of the Ministry’s full cooperation in bringing the project to life.
The Creative Arts Agency reaffirmed its commitment to working with relevant ministries and organisations to ensure the transformative impact of the arts is fully realized, particularly within the context of its national “reset” agenda.
