The children of the late highlife legend Charles Kwadwo Fosuh, popularly known as Daddy Lumba, have distanced themselves from an ongoing court case concerning his funeral and burial arrangements.
In a statement released on Wednesday, October 15, 2025, the children of Akosua Serwaa and Daddy Lumba clarified that they are not involved in the legal proceedings and do not wish to be part of any disputes related to the funeral.
“We are not parties to this legal process and do not wish to be involved in any conflicts surrounding the funeral arrangements,” the statement read. “Our only desire is to honour our father’s memory in a dignified, respectful, and peaceful manner.”
The statement, signed by Charlyn Fosuh emphasised that all of Daddy Lumba’s children are united in love and respect for their late father and are focused on celebrating his legacy.
They also appealed to the public, especially the media and social media users, to be respectful in their coverage and discussions regarding the family and the ongoing legal matters.
“We believe our father deserves a farewell that reflects the peace, dignity, and unity he valued in life,” the family said.
