Former Black Stars goalkeeper Danlad Ibrahim has extended his heartfelt support to Hearts of Oak shot-stopper Benjamin Asare, wishing him success as Ghana prepares for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.Speaking on Akoma FM, Ibrahim made it clear that his role is to encourage rather than advise, acknowledging Asare’s seniority and experience.”Benjamin Asare is my senior, so it wouldn’t be right for me to advise him. I can only seek God’s luck, favour, and strength for him to protect him from any disgrace or injuries,” Ibrahim said.”I really admire his conduct both on and off the pitch, and I pray that he performs exceptionally well for Ghana in the tournament.”Ibrahim’s words reflect a spirit of unity within the Black Stars setup, where mutual respect and support among players are seen as essential ingredients for success.Asare has been in superb form for Hearts of Oak this season, keeping multiple clean sheets and emerging as a strong contender for Ghana’s number one spot at the World Cup. His consistency between the posts has made him one of the most reliable goalkeepers in the Ghana Premier League.Ghana have been drawn in Group L alongside Panama, England, and Croatia. The Black Stars will open their campaign against Panama on June 17, face England on June 23, and conclude group play against Croatia on June 27.The team will be based at Bryant University in the United States as they seek to make a deeper run in the tournament.
