The family and children of the late Madam Gertrude Quashigah, daughter of the late Major (Rtd) Courage Quashigah, have fired back at Adwoa Safo following her recent claims of corruption against the deceased.
Madam Quashigah, who was the National Coordinator of the Ghana School Feeding Programme (GSFP), was ‘exposed’ by the former Dome Kwabenya MP during a radio interview.
Adwoa Safo claimed that former President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo tasked her with auditing the school feeding program. Adwoa Safo said the rot she discovered within the program was astonishing however, when she took her results to the President, he did nothing.
Safo claims that during her audit, Madam Quashigah approached her and offered to bribe her by creating ghost schools that they could charge the government for and make millions!
Her claims sparked outrage online and the family of the late School feeding coordinator have released a statement denying Adwoa Safo’s claims.
The family said their late relative carried out her duties with “the highest levels of integrity, dedication, and selflessness,” They called on Adwoa Safo to render an unqualified apology for her comments about the late Madam Quashigah.
The statement sparked social media reactions from angry Ghanaians who slammed the family.
“Dead people are automatically righteous,” one user commented.
Another said: “The way every Ghanaian become righteous immediately after he/she dies,I don’t think any Ghanaian will enter hellfire,”
