Ghanaian national, Derrick Van Yeboah has been pleaded guilty following numerous court sittings and investigations.
The news was made known by the FBI via their official social media platforms.
According to the FBI, Derrick Van Yeboah who is a member of a Ghanaian based organisation that is into scamming old men and women through romance was pleaded guilty for stealing more than 10 million dollars from victims.
Per the report, Derrick Van Yeboah and his organization have stolen more than 100 million dollars from old men and women through romance scams.
“Derrick Van Yeboah, a Ghanaian national, pleaded guilty to stealing more than $10 million from victims through romance scams. He was a member of a criminal organization based in Ghana that preyed on vulnerable older men and women and stole, in total, more than $100 million from dozens of victims. The conspirators also engaged in business email compromises to deceive businesses into sending wire transfers”, the FBI disclosed.
