Award-winning broadcaster Afia Pokuaa has jumped to the defence of celebrated actress and media personality Nana Ama Mcbrown after being attacked by her former colleagues over her move to Onua TV.

Mcbrown joined the Media General Team after an almost 2-year stint as host of United Showbiz on UTV. The popular actress and media personality was unveiled on Monday, March 13 at the TV3 premises amidst drumming and dancing.

Her decision to leave Despite Media for Media General  has since been a topic for discussion as many have expressed shock. She has also received hefty backlash from some of her former colleagues such as Kwame Nkrumah Tikese , Ola Michael and Nana Ama Moet at the Despite Media.

They accused her of ungratefulness and disloyalty to the Despite media group for leaving to join a rival media house.

Expressing her view on the matter, Nana Pokua who is also a staff of Despite Media lambasted her colleagues for chastising  Mcbrown.

In a Facebook post ghanaweekend has sighted, the outspoken media personality said:

“A job is a contract to exchange SKILLS/TALENT for SALARY. Nobody is doing anyone any favor by employing them. A contract too can be repudiated or abrogated at any time. The same way, me, Abeiku Santana, Kofi Kum Bilson and Obiyaa left Multimedia to join Despite Media, someone can leave and join another company. It’s just a job. The OWNERS OF DESPITE MEDIA are okay with McBrown but the disciples are always shouting to gain favor from the bosses. Did McBrown not increase our viewership too? Or did you give her the acting talent too? DO WE SEE FOOTBALL TEAMS ATTACKING PLAYERS WHEN THEY CHANGE TEAMS?

Nana Pokua then advised Mcbrown ,”My only advice to McBrown is, there are bad colleagues and imperfect systems everywhere so stop granting interviews about your former employers Take it from someone who has spent over 20 years in this industry and just Shine Your Eyes and Enjoy Your New Job because “emmre yenni nka so”.

This attack by some Despite Media workers is not cool and gives us a BAD CORPORATE IMAGE”
