Ghanaian comedian, Derrick Kobina Bonney, popularly known as DKB, has reacted to the backlashes targeted at him after he shot a skit about the NDC’s 24-hour policy.

DKB has in the past declared his support for John Mahama and the National Democratic Congress (NDC).

The comedian based on his support for the NDC, recently shot a skit intended to explain his understanding of John Mahama’s 24-hour policy to Ghanaians.

After the videos went viral on social media, DKB has received a barge of criticisms from Ghanaians including President of IMANI Ghana, Franklyn Cudjoe and the NPP’s Gabby Otchere.

Frankly Cudjoe reacting to DKB’s skit said: “This is a very crappy advert explaining the 24-hour economy. I hope DKB did this voluntarily and hasn’t been paid by the NDC.”

The National Democratic Congress (NDC) further disassociated itself from DKB’s skit video.

The party in a statement said “advised anyone desirous of producing an advert to promote the policies of the NDC to contact the National Communications Bureau of the party for necessary clearance and guidance.”

In response, DKB said despite all the criticisms, he will still support John Mahama.

“Please if you insult small, pause and drink water. Go commercial break. It’s just a skit, I haven’t killed anybody. Just a skit to communicate how I understand 24-hour economy to people,” he stated.
